On Monday, Leicester Crown Court learned communication data and evidence obtained from phones recorded Ms Wandelt consistently demanding Madeleine's mother for a genetic test during 2023 and 2024.

Madeleine's disappearance in 2007 - at the age of three during a family holiday in Portugal - is among the most publicized investigations and is still unsolved.

'I Do Not Need Money'

One phone message, shared in court, recorded Ms Wandelt saying: "I realize I'm fat and not pretty like Madeleine had been, but I know what I know."

While another instance of Ms Wandelt's recordings with Mrs McCann's voicemail expressed: "Suppose there is a small chance that I'm her? What happens next? Is that not significant for you?"

"I don't want money, I have a life here in Poland, I simply desire to know," the message continued.

The tribunal was advised that through electronic messages, mobile messages and communications, Ms Wandelt requested a biological test, forwarded early photographs to her phone in a attempt to display a resemblance to Mrs McCann's disappeared daughter, and stated to have "flashbacks" from a early life with the McCanns.

An intelligence analyst, a data specialist with law enforcement who compiled the data, advised the court there "didn't appear to be any replies" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt also contacted close associates of the McCanns, as per the communication logs.

On 9 October 2024, Gerry McCann picked up a communication from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, saying she had "a wrong number."

On that occasion Ms Wandelt deposited a voicemail on Mrs McCann's recording saying "I will persist and I will prove my point."

Communication data revealed Mrs Spragg had contacted using communication app to Mrs McCann to state the media had portrayed Ms Wandelt as "a crazy person" but that she should be considered genuine in the time preceding the trip to Rothley, that area, in December 2024.

The court heard message exchanges between the two defendants, in November 2024, planning endeavoring to obtain Mrs McCann's biological evidence from her trash or from silverware at a restaurant.

"We need to assert ourselves," the co-defendant informed Ms Wandelt.

On the evening of the appearance to their house, Mrs Spragg dispatched a communication which expressed: "We are sitting near the McCanns' residence with our lights out resembling investigators. I had hoped to accomplish this with someone else I hadn't anticipated I would be engaged in this with the McCanns."
