David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.

David Walliams

Best-selling writer for children and TV personality David Walliams has been dropped by his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.

A spokesman for the company said: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing future works by David Walliams."

It has been reported that the decision was reached following an investigation into allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable involving young women.

The publisher declined to specify the reasons for its decision, stating: "We do not comment on internal matters."

An Illustrious Publishing History

Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, having sold in excess of 60 million copies globally in dozens of tongues.

His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.

A number of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.

To date, he has released more than 40 books combined, encompassing a holiday title titled *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins this past October.

From Screen to Page

He first rose to fame on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was awarded an OBE several years ago honoring his contributions to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.

This development follows the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO in October.
